Annual Federal Programs Meeting 8/26/2025
Posted Date: 8/27/25 (1:16 PM)
Last night we met to share information about our Title I and other programs.
Funding from the district's Title 1 grant is used to help students meet academic standards and provide supports for students who need them.
Parents have the right to the following: 1. individual report cards to let you know how your student in progressing, 2. professional qualifications of teachers and paraprofessionals who serve your students should you ask, 3. notification that your student's teacher has limited state certification, 4. information on state and local assessments, and 5. the policy on student participation on assessments.
The district and buildings also have Parent Engagement Policies that were shared. To help us engage all our parents, please complete this survey: How To Increase Parent Involvement In Schools
Schools receiving Title I funding must jointly develop with parents a School-Parent Compact that outlines how families, school staff, and students will share responsibility for improved academic achievement. To help us develop a meaningful Compact, please complete this survey: Parent Compact Ideas
The Mount Adams School District is also committed to improving meaningful, two-way communication and promoting programs, services and activities for students and their families. There is a Language Access policy and procedure in place so families have access in their home language.
Parents can be active participants in their student's education by asking questions, providing input and attending regularly scheduled meetings: 1. monthly JOM/Indian Parent Education Committee meetings, 2. monthly Coffee and Connections meetings, and 3. quarterly Parent Advisory Council meetings. These meetings are scheduled on the District website under Upcoming Events.
If you have any questions about the above information, please reach out to Dana Jarnecke, djarnecke@masd209.org.
